Are you a realtor without a business plan?
If you are a realtor and you don’t have a business plan in place – guess what – you’re not the only one! And, unfortunately, that’s not a good gameplan! But, no worries! I’m going to share with you what you need to do and what you need to address!
I learned when starting my real estate business that I needed a plan in place. It was important to ensure I knew the efforts I was making were going to pay off. By having a real estate business plan I am able to track my business. I like to refer back to my business plans and make sure I am on track with my goals, who I am speaking to with my marketing and how I am executing this.
Do you currently use a business plan for your real estate business? I couldn’t find one that encompassed all areas I wanted to analyze and map out, so I actually created my own. There are many facets to the real estate business plan I created so that I could address all parts of my real estate business.
Want to know 3 things a realtor business plan needs? I’ve shared a few things I think are essential to a business plan. My business plan The Intentional Entrepreneur goes through each of these aspects.
What a realtor business plan needs:
1. Goal Mapping
We never know how to map out our needs if we aren’t intentional about what we want and how to get there. You’ve got to reverse engineer what your needs are and how exactly you’re going to get there. You might discover you’re not being realistic about your expectations and you can plan ahead to make sure you don’t jeopardize your financial situation knowing where you’re headed.
2. Who You Want to Attract
When it comes to a business plan, you’ve got to know who you want to attract and how you are going to get in front of them. This ties directly back into the Goal Mapping portion mentioned above because you might need to make costly expenses to get in front of your target demographic.
If you don’t have a plan in place, you might be setting yourself up for failure right out of the gate. Success is built around everyday action and intent. Everything has to be precisely mapped and of course, plans can change based on results, but if you aren’t tracking what your’re doing – you’re working blindly.
